This idea is
a last minute inclusion to my site. The idea is that I include debates
that other people suggest on this page on a temporary basis - one debate
per week. I want the debates on this page to be totally suggested by visitors
to the site, but I'll suggest the first debate if I don't get any suggestions
within a week or two, and it'll stay up untill I think there are enough
contributions to it. Send me your debate idea as well as your name to the
Usual
Address.
Okay, I
got another debate idea from Leila. The new debate is: Who is better
for Neal - Kel or Yuki? Send in your ideas. old bedates are at the
bottom.
Did Lord Raoul
Take Kel as a Squire out of Pity?
No he didn't. They
talk about this in the book. He took her because he
respected her
abilities, and because she would be useful to him on the
grand progress,
remember? That’s my opinion. Oh and did you read lady
knight yet?
I order it off Amazon like three weeks ago and it got here
about two weeks
ago. I finished. It's good, but it leaves something to
be desired,
which makes me think that maybe she will write a fifth book,
although that's
hardly her pattern is it?
Meredith
Lord Raoul took Kel on
because he is a nice guy and he possibly has a crush on her?? He also took
her because Alanna couldn't and he felt Kel would be an excellent knight
so he decided he'd be the best person to train her
Hailey
I don't think that Lord
Raoul took Kel on out of pity. He's been watching her since the first book
and knows that she's good. Besides, Raoul is one of Alanna's best friends
so he's one of the least likely to underestimate a female.
Lady
Rogue
I don't think Lord Raoul
took Kel out of pity. In Page he was nice to her, wasn't he?
Even if he did at first I think he has changed his thought now that Kel
proved so helpfull.
~Rhia~
I would have to say no.
Raoul knows that life in the King's Own is hard, dirty work. He would not
waste his time on someone that he might think need constant attention.
He knows women can fight, seeing how his friends include Alanna, Queen
Thayet and Buri, and he probably wanted to make sure Kel got a chance to
truly see what knighthood was all about.

Is Jonathan
a Total Prig?
Definitely not.....even
though the whole business in WWRLAM, I don’t care....I still love him.....&
he sure was nice to Daine.......
Alesha
I doubt he can help his
nature. He was terrific to Alanna-almost! Anyway, as someone very wise
once said, "Kings are seldom nice people." Raoul is totally right, however,
Jon can be so god damned stubborn sometimes that it totally gets up my
nose!
Yasmin
No, I don't think john
is a prig, mean he probably was going through a stage in wwrlam and think
of his troubles in Lr, he almost gets killed, both his parents die and
he has to suck all that magic, plus he's wicked nice to Daine and
Kel, and he loves Alanna. So there people who disagree with me!
Leah (not the one who made this site)
About the debate
of the week, Is Jon a prig, I'd say no. Okay, I know he is pretty bad in
"Woman who rides like a man" and he does tend to be pretty up himself,
but he's the King. He's been pampered his entire life, and probably can't
help thinking he's wonderful!
Besides, in "The Immortals"
series and the "Protector of the small" he is mega nice Daine and Kel.
Basically, I'd say he's pretty cool (most of the time. The rest of the
time, well......nobodys perfect!)
~Becky
I don't think Jon
is a prig! Okay, I know he was really selfish and stuck up in WWRLAM, but
think how cool he was in all the other books!
Helping Kel with her
fear of heights and accepting Daine, making her feel relaxed and welcome
in her new home! Besides, he's been sucked up to his whole life, of course
he'd be a bit.... nasty, at times! He'd have to be a saint not too!

:)
I think Jonathan
needs to take a look at things past the end of his conte nose. He is a
fantastic king but he could still be better. Kings should be fair and he
was not to Kel.
Beth
I think Jon is prig.
He lived in the palace his entire life. He is used to having things
his way. He is nice in most of the books.
